In the Bible, Nisan (also called Abib) is the first month of the Hebrew religious calendar. It typically falls in March or April on the Gregorian calendar and is known as the "Month of Flowers" or the "Month of New Beginnings." Here is the significance of the month of Nisan based on biblical events and spiritual themes: 1. The Month of Deliverance (Passover) Nisan is most famous for the Exodus from Egypt. Before the tenth plague, God commanded Moses that this month would be the "beginning of months" for Israel (Exodus 12:2). - Nisan 10: The selection of the Passover lamb (Exodus 12:3). - Nisan 14: The first Passover sacrifice and the night the Israelites were spared by the blood on their doorposts. - Nisan 15: The start of the Feast of Unleavened Bread and the physical departure from Egypt. 2.
